IRVINE, Calif.
Chipmaker Broadcom Corp. said Tuesday it plans to raise about $600 million in a debt offering.
The company did not say when it would sell the senior notes, or give details about the terms of the debt.
Broadcom said it would decide the final amount of the offering based on market and other conditions. The company expects to use proceeds for general corporate purposes.
