I have a debt for a car that is 14 years old and now they are garnishing me. Is it legal for them to do that so many years later?

Answer by CatDadWages can only be garnished when they take you to court and win a judgement....Debt this old is normally time-barred....but if they served you a summons and you didn't bother to show up in court...then they win automatically in spite of the age of the debt...this is called a default judgment.
